OpenIndiana

I have a new shiny server! Previously this site was hosted on a FreeBSD VM running on a Proxmox server (and gitea was running on a debian VM on the same Proxmox server), now it's on OpenIndiana.

OpenIndiana FastFetch

Why the change? My proxmox server was getting full, and I wanted to move the gitea instance particularly, but I thought it would be better to have gitea and the website on the same host.

I was given an AMD Ryzen 5 PC, it had 3 2TB HDDs in it and I put a 256Mb NVMe drive in it. It only has 8Gb of RAM though. I've put OpenIndiana on the NVMe drive and have the 3 HDDs as one big ZFS pool that is exported over the network, so I have a nice big network drive. I've also orded 32Gb of ram to put in it smiles.

Before moving everything across, I had set up Anubis - as I was getting hit pretty bad by Meta's AI scraping bot. It would use up all the bandwidth between my computers and the router (which is carried over an old power line adapter) so my computers interenet access was very much impacted by it. Internet access over the wifi was fine though.
